June Favorites

June has been such a whirlwind month. Dance recital to voice recital to Beyoncé and much more. There are a few things I've been using to get me through it all, so as usual, here's my June favorites with a little twist at the end. Stay tuned.

1. Essie Peach Daiquiri

With all my dance events, I’ve rarely had a chance to paint my nails. But when I do, I absolutely love this color. The hot pink, almost coral, color screams summer and I love it on both my hands and toes. I have it shown here with one of my favorite OPI Liquid Sand shades called Honey Rider as a perfect accent nail.

2. Ultraviolence- Lana Del Rey

I know I talked about Lana two months ago, but her album Ultraviolence, which came out June 17th, deserves to be recognized. This new album is perfection on all fifteen tracks, and nods back to her Born To Die era stylistically in many ways. My favorite tracks of the moment? “Shades of Cool” and “Old Money.”

3. Charming Charlie

I had heard through word of mouth about this little shop forever. When I finally got a chance to go, I learned it was no little shop. A huge, color-coded space full of all kinds of jewelry and accessories; I was in love. I got all kinds of great stuff from two cute dresses to $18 rosette necklaces and will definitely be coming back whenever I need accessories in a pinch.

4. Baseball Hats

I am a pale girl, and I’ve embraced it. Thanks to this, I have to keep my face protected at all times. I’m all for sunscreen but I’ll avoid it if I can. Wearing baseball hats keeps me covered and adds a great accessory. With all kinds of designs varying from Vineyard Vines to Polo and more, they’re a great way to protect your face and stay cute.

5. Brown Mascara

I’ve always read that brown mascara is a great option for pale, blonde, light-eyed girls like yours truly, but I was always skeptical. I finally picked one up from Sephora, and I absolutely love it. It’s less harsh and softer compared to my go-to black and is perfect for running around with errands and more casual days.

This month’s favorites are abbreviated, but with good cause. I have a big announcement! Nationals for my studio this year takes place in Orlando, FL and I’ll be blogging my whole trip. Outfits, events, parties, Disney? Who knows what could happen? Stay tuned for all of my Florida fun, and keep up on Twitter and Instagram for even more updates!

  1. I'm the same way, during the summer I ALWAYS have to have a baseball cap with me! Disney will be a blast - can't wait to read all about it! :)
