One Year

Major shoutout to my friends Lindsey (shown earlier), Madison,
and Olivia for helping with this shoot!

On February 12 of 2014, two major things happened in my life. The first: I moved into my current house with a fabulous new room in a great new neighborhood. The second? My very first post on behindhermonogrammedmacbook.blogspot.com (#tbt) went live, called "I guess I should be cheesy and say hello." I go back now and eye-roll at myself and all my previous posts, but they've all built me up to the girl and blogger I've become one year later. I've made amazing friends, joined groups like The Undeniable Report, and built up a name for myself. People I haven't talked to since middle school have told me they loved my last post, and family members keep up with BHMM on Facebook.  It's been a crazy ride, but I've loved every second of it. Those of you who continuous read, who got me to 10k pageviews then 20k just three months later, are some of the best people, and I'm so greatly for all of you. Here's to another year of more outfits, fun travels, new friends, and more posts coming at you from, of course, behind my monogrammed MacBook.

Treating Yourself on Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is just a few days away, where has time gone? Personally I love Valentine's Day whether I'm in a relationship *laughs while typing* or I'm single. Being single on Valentine's Day gives you a chance to treat yourself, and today I'm giving you some ideas for just that.

Buying yourself little gifts like jewelry or shoes is always an easy way to perk up. I love this "blah blah blah" heart necklace or some Kendra's (of course). I love having flowers in my house whenever I can, and I plan on buying myself a big bouquet for this Valentine's Day. A classic red lip makes anything better, but don't forget to reapply if you indulge in some sweets. Macarons, cookies, or, for all my KY girls, some Old KY Chocolates dipped strawberries aka the best things ever in the world ever.

I know being alone on the day of love can be a bummer, but there are infinite ways to make your day great, and love yourself. That's what Valentine's Day is all about right? I hope y'all have a great Valentine's Day, send me pictures on Twitter or Instagram showing how you treat yourself this Saturday.

Update: Amy Ruth Designs

A while back I did a post teaming up with Amy Ruth Designs to show you some of their awesome stationery products. Today I'm bringing that back and collaborating with Cathleen and Carrie to show you how we've put our products to use.

My two notebooks are filled, literally, and have been used in my note-heavy classes throughout the end of last year and the beginning of this semester. I've been meaning to order more, since I love the adorable designs and the layout of the notebooks.

My four folders are used for all kinds of things. I use them for music at auditions, sorting all my college mail, and much more.

The six-pack of page flags has been put to very good use. I use them to mark pages in my textbooks for notes and math assignments along with keeping my place in notebooks/my current reading.

Ask anyone who's gotten a birthday/holiday gift from me in the last few months, these cards have been on all of them. With four different colors, they go with any color of gift and have just enough room for a sweet message to a friend or family member.

Major shoutout to Amy Ruth Designs, they have so many great products with everything from phone cases to notebooks. Be sure to check out Cathleen and Carrie's blogs for their posts!

New York City Vlogs

After being home from the city for two weeks (and after a bout of technical difficulties), I'm so excited to share my NYC Vlogs with y'all! I had so much fun in New York and hope to go back very very soon.
