Hello, It's Me

Okay I'm sorry I had to.

Hello and happy New Year! The holiday season completely snuck up on me this year and I cannot believe it is 2016. I'm looking forward to everything this year has to offer and can't wait to see what it has in store.

"But CLB where you been girl?" Yeah, I haven't put a post up since November and I'm definitely not happy about it. Anyone who knows me knows that I hate to make excuses for myself, and despite it all I find it hard to validate this one. Since my last post, I have had a vocal cord injection to bring my voice back, competed in my first dance competition since my diagnosis, and somehow made it out of my first semester finals alive. Nobody said it was easy, but no one ever said it would be this hard as my all-time favorite Coldplay song says. School completely swallowed my life these last two months, and for the first time since this summer I can breathe easy without worrying about what missing assignments I have or what tests I have the coming week. And it feels amazing.

So what? I've put up a million posts promising new posts and consistency and all that, why is this any different? With all I learned in this last year, the biggest thing is that I can do just about anything when I put my mind to it. Blogging makes me happy, it's brought me some of my closest friends (I'm looking at y'all TDH) and so many amazing opportunities. I wouldn't give it up for all the money in the world. It's a new year, I have a new outlook, and I'm ready to start making quality content again.

With all that said, here's a playlist of my favorite songs from 2015. It features everything from Lana Del Rey to the new Broadway musical Hamilton to Beyoncé. It's a little all over the place but hey, that describes my last year. To all of you for sticking it out with me, thank you a million times, I love y'all SO MUCH.

Oh and PS, expect a lot of visual changes around here. My queen and best friend Anna Tselevich is currently in the process of making BHMM gorgeous and I'm loving it!
